Our support team may ask you what version of the Cartographer mobile app you are using on your phone. You can find this on the Settings page inside the app, or on your home screen if you’re using Android.
Determining the App Version from the App Itself
From the app’s main menu (the one with “Cartographer” written at the top), click Settings on the top right:
The app’s version is written under the word About towards the top of the Settings screen. Be sure to tell us the main “user-facing version” (1.3.8 in the image below) and the “build number” (378 in the image below):
Determining the App Version from your Home Screen
On Android, if the Cartographer app isn’t starting properly or you can’t get to the Settings screen, you can find the version number as follows:
- Long-press the app icon on your home screen. Push the icon with your finger and wait 2-3 seconds before releasing it:
- A contextual menu will appear. Select the App Info item (the exact options on the menu may vary from device to device):
- A page will open in your Settings app called “App Info”. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the app version:
- The user-facing version should be listed somewhere towards the bottom of the page (”1.3.7” in the image below). The build number (a number in the hundreds) may or may not appear in parentheses to the right (not shown below). Please share both of these numbers, if available, with our support team:
