0:01 This is the homepage of the Riverfly workspace in the database Platform Cartographer.
0:08 The only difference you might have is that Urban Riverfly or Extended Riverfly might be under My Projects view.
0:14 That just depends on which projects the team that you're in takes part in.
0:20 The difference between these two projects is that Riverfly Sites is what is used by coordinators when they're setting up new sites and these this list that comes up when you click this or the map that comes up when you click this shows the location and details of each site and doesn't show the surveys that get connected to it.
0:41 If you're wanting to look at Riverfly data itself, you want to be in Riverfly here.
0:47 These projects are also listed down the side here.
0:50 So to look at Riverfly surveys in a list form, you click on Surveys and it comes up with a list like this.
0:59 Initially, it's every survey that's ever been submitted to the database.
1:05 You can philtre it however you like.
1:07 You can narrow it down to just one team, You can narrow it down to certain dates.
1:11 You can type terms in here, such as the name of the site you're after.
1:16 And to view each individual survey, you can just click on it and it will come up with a page detailing everything about that particular survey.
1:27 OK, so here's an example of a survey.
1:31 You can see the key information up at the top and the location.
1:35 And then here it shows the number of each invertebrate counted with a box underneath saying what are my score?
1:43 That means that Vertebrate has and then tells you the total score for the entire survey compared to the trigger level and whether or not it breached the trigger level.
1:56 It'll also show any photographs that they uploaded and any notes they added as well.
2:01 So that's how to view the list of surveys.
2:06 Just to mention that this will only show standard RMI 8 surveys and you'll have to look separately if you want to look at extended surveys or urban surveys.
2:16 Just look down the side here.
2:19 And now let's look at what it looks like in the map.
2:21 So riverfly map here, every dot represents a place where at least one survey has taken place.
2:30 It doesn't necessarily mean there's a dot for every site that's been registered to us that would be on the map of riverfly sites.
2:40 It's a question we quite often get when a new site has been set up.
2:42 Oh, it's not showing up on the riverfly map.
2:45 And that's because if there aren't any surveys against it yet.
2:48 So it won't show up on this map if there aren't any surveys against it, but it will show up on the map of just the sites themselves.
2:56 And on this map you can use these options to colour code however you like.
3:01 So at the moment it's colour coded by catchment.
3:04 So each catchment's a different colour and you can do that by various other things.
3:09 And some of them are sort of scale things like the overall RMI score of the entire survey.
3:19 So you can click on particular dots to see the information and you can view the survey back like just like we did before by clicking there.
3:26 We'll just see the overall data here.
3:28 So on that quite light coloured 1, you can see the army score was 2.
3:33 So that's why it's that colour compared to 1 like this where the most recent, most recent survey was a score of 20.
3:44 So very high.
3:47 And you can philtre the data that's shown here using the date philtre up here.
3:53 So I've just got it showing the last year just because that loads a lot more quickly than the entire history of Riverfly.
3:59 And you can philtre it just to your team as well, if that's what you want to look at.
4:05 Just to say this map shows all three types of surveys.
4:09 So even if it's an extended survey, it'll or an urban survey, it'll still show up on this map.
4:15 It'll just be a sort of Army version of it, just taking the eight groups from the expanded list of groups that are in those surveys and still showing the Army score for it and everything.
4:29 But you can look at maps just showing those kinds of surveys to it.
4:37 So yeah, Extended has a map for sales and flow and a map for water quality.
4:42 And the urban map we'll show just the places where urban surveys have been done.
4:50 So hopefully that will make sense.
4:51 If you have any questions about viewing the data, just e-mail us at info@riverflies.org.
4:57 And if you have any questions that are more specific to the database itself, the website, there's this box up here on the right, give us feedback, which gives you the option to contact the developers at Cartographer themselves.
5:12 So this is the form that you would fill in to let them know about any glitches, anything specific to the website database itself.
5:21 And hopefully that all makes sense.
5:23 Thanks for watching.
