0:00 If you went down to your Riverfly site this month and the conditions meant that you weren't able to take a sample for whatever reason, it's still really useful to submit that as a record on the database just to keep your coordinator in the loop about what's going on.
0:13 And there is a way to do that on Cartographer that I'll show you now.
0:16 So you just go to submit a survey as you usually would by pressing the plus button to get this survey input page up.
0:24 And you select your site as you usually would and then Scroll down.
0:32 And when you get to sample taken, there's a box where you're able to take the sample.
0:36 And you can untick this to show that you were not able to take sample and that'll bring up this drop down menu of reason sample not taken.
0:45 So it might be that there wasn't enough water in the river or there was too much, it was too dangerous to go in.
0:52 It could have been frozen or other reasons like maybe there were there was evidence of trout spawning activity or there was access issues or maybe signs of pollution.
1:06 So it wouldn't have been safe to go in.
1:07 So you can type your reason into this box here and you've still got the option to add photographs and notes if you think that might be helpful.
1:17 And then you can just save it as complete as you usually would for a regular.
