Before You Begin#

You need an Android phone or tablet running Android 7.0 or later, signed in to a Google account. The app is free.

Installing the App#

1. Open Google Play on your device.
2. Search for Cartographer. Look for our logo, as other apps share the name. Alternatively, open this page on your device and tap this link: Cartographer on Google Play.
3. On the app's listing, tap Install. If you have an older version installed, you'll see Update instead.
4. When the button changes to Open, tap it. You'll also find the Cartographer icon on your home screen or in your app list.

You can also install the app from the Google Play web site on a computer: open the link above, sign in with the same Google account as your device, tap Install and choose the device. The app appears on it within a few minutes.

Keeping the App Up to Date#

Google Play updates apps automatically by default. To check for an update yourself, open Google Play, tap your picture at the top right, then Manage apps & device, and look for Cartographer under updates available.
