Simpler, sharper, and more portable. We've rebuilt the way you sign in to Cartographer, given your survey photos a proper look at last, and made your data easier to get out.
Improved sign-in experience
We've improved our long term memory, so Cartographer and Modular River Survey remember you for up to 30 days after you sign in.
Furthermore, the two web sites now share a single sign-in. When you sign to one site, you'll automatically be signed in to the other as well. If you sign out of one site, you sign out of both.
If you hold an RCA qualification, you'll find new links in the "Account" menus on both sites to take you back and forth.
We're working on bringing the mobile app up to speed as well - look out for updates in the coming weeks.
Sharper photographs
Thumbnails in survey galleries are sharper, and we've updated our attachment preview modals so they no longer crop the photograph you're previewing.
We've also added support for HEIC, HEIF and WEBP images — so photos straight off an iPhone now upload as they are, with no prior conversion necessary.
Spreadsheets where you need them
Map downloads can now be exported as XLSX as well as CSV, KML, and GeoJSON — handy if you're heading straight into Excel.
We've also improved downloads of survey data up. We've added links to workspaces, projects, teams, surveys, and attachments to the XLSX versions, and we've added web addresses to the CSV versions.
