We have an important announcement following the launch of version 1.3 of the Cartographer mobile app (and its successor, version 1.3.1):
From 1st May, we will be retiring older versions of the mobile app. Versions prior to 1.3 will be unable to upload surveys to the Cartographer servers following this date. [*]
This is to lay the groundwork for some important behind-the-scenes changes.
Please do the following to avoid any interruption to service:
- Update to version 1.3.1 as soon as you can via Google Play or the Apple App Store
- Open the app and sign out and in again (remember to upload your surveys first) [**]
Updating the app should be quick and straightforward. However, please get in touch if you have any questions or need any help with the upgrade.
If you get caught out by this, please note the following:
[*] All versions of the app will continue to function and store survey data locally. You can export a backup file and send it to our support team to upload if you get caught out.
[**] Version 1.3 will also be unable to upload surveys if you don't sign out and in again first. Make sure you do this as soon as you update. Again, you can export a backup file and send it to us if you get stuck.
